Tree-honking

“The first artificial trees were made in response to the loss of pine forests in Germany. Goose feathers dyed green imitated the green needles.” (http://www.foe.co.uk/green-blog/now-trending-christmas-trees)

This could explain why Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) plans to cull barnacle geese on Islay (http://www.rspb.org.uk/media/releases/387585-conservation-partnership-urges-minister-to-rethink-risky-goose-cull).

But your goose is as good as mine.
Happy Solstice.
